Bring the milk to a near boil and remove it from the heat when you see it begin to steam.

Prepare the yeast mixture with the warm milk, yeast, and honey in a small bowl until well combined. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

In a large bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of the melted butter, the warm milk mixture, the room temperature egg, and 2 cups of flour.

Gradually add the remaining 2 cups of flour and mix until a dough has formed.

Add the salt to mix it in, then knead the dough for roughly 8 minutes. Then place the dough onto a floured surface and knead for a few more minutes.

Spray a large bowl with cooking spray and drop the dough inside. Cover the greased bowl and let it rise for an hour.

Punch down the soft dough and roll it out on a flat, lightly floured surface until it’s about ½ inch thick. Fold it in half and gently seal.

Cut the rolled dough into 24 squares of even size and place them onto 2 oven trays with lightly greased baking sheets. Cover and let them rise for 30-40 minutes

Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit  Melt the remaining butter and brush the top of all the warm rolls immediately.

Serve finished rolls with honey cinnamon butter. Cut in the middle and spread like a sandwich.

Cooking Tips

Measure out all ingredients as this can affect the final outcome of the bread rolls.

Make sure that the milk too hot, and it cools down to around a lukewarm temperature, or you will kill the yeast.
