Roasted garlic can add delicious flavor to just about anything. Roasting the garlic really takes away all the spiciness and bitterness of garlic and leaves you with a super flavorful spreadable paste.
It's good on toasted bread with goat cheese. It's a perfect addition to mashed potatoes or pasta. It's something I always have in the fridge, and when it's gone I just make some more because it's SO easy. 🙂
here’s a video showing how to do it:
Ingredients
- garlic - 1 head
- olive oil - 1 tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- herbs de provence - 1 tbsp
- foil - 1 sheet
how to
- Heat your oven to 400 F.
- Use a very sharp knife to cut the garlic clove in half horizontally, place it on a square of tin foil, then drizzle it all over with olive oil.
- Sprinkle the salt and herbs, then wrap up tightly and bake for about 30 - 40 minutes, or until it is soft when squeezed.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes, then squeeze out the cloves - they are ready for use in something delicious.
This is so cool! Will try tonight!
